Does it seem to you that the Russians and Chinese are doing all the scientific push right now? Why is that?
The Russians pushed a solar sail experiment today. It didn't work as well as they wanted ... but at least they tried something
Go ahead tell me I'm wrong ... I want to hear about the US scientific exploration that is innovating the next century
UPDATE: OK i just learned that this research was actually conducted by a private group of donors and that it's failure will be borne by all of them. Good and bad. The good is that groups are stepping up to research and we're letting government go back to governing. The bad is that they had to choose Russia to launch because we decided to shut down NASA three years ago.
Maybe NASA should be privatized?
More on that thought.
Privatize NASA and the Postal Service and Amtrak and Tennessee Valley Authority and use the proceeds to balance the 2006 and 2007 federal deficit. It's a start.
