It's been quite a while since I've kept a close eye on the Koreas, going so far as to assume that the North Koreans would soon lose control of their nation as it slid into poverty and communistic devastation. For one, I can't even understand how they've stayed a nation so long.
Hopefully the White House is calling former Bush administration officials for assistance in handling this crisis, this is no time for Rahm Emmanuel type crisis opportunism.

Yes. It's time to call in the best (worst) political opportunists who have served the people to handle this crisis. Bush & Co. That's funny and sad all rolled into one.

Obviously we disagree a bit on Bush Doctrine freedom expansion v. Obama Doctrine confessionary penitence. I'd be happy to see North Korea eliminated and one nation on the Korean Peninsula that is democratic, capitalist, and free.
Since the socialist/communist dictator of North Korea will never allow his people to choose, then we may have to ask him politely to leave this world.
A little birdie told me that we were just dissed by S Korea over free trade due to our incompetent economic management. The temptation to step back on our military commitments in retaliation must be high in this crew.
What a great point TM, actually didn't occur to me that the Obama administration came back empty handed from trying to force a positive press release out of them. Gotta love the fact that they had to lecture us on overspending.
My dinner party source made it out to be much worse, and more personal, than that. The insult might have grown in the retelling but if the story was accurate, Obama was personally treated like furniture by an assistant department head who explained why S. Korea wasn't going to sign a FTA until we got a competent economic policy
