Barack Obama's continued ignorance of foreign policy is clear and evident in his editorial posted today at The New York Times. Obama continues to repeat his Far Left talking points that Iraq diverted us from fighting Al-Qaeda. The junior senator from Illinois is still unwilling to acknowledge the thousands of Al-Qaeda fighters that have been lost in Iraq. And, after saying the surge had worked last week- Today he's back to saying it didn't work.

umm, there was no Al-Qaeda in Iraq before we disposed the government there. So speaking of Ignorance you'd have to be ignorant to follow that logic. And don't accuse me of supporting Saddam nobody was claiming he was a good guy but he did a better job of keeping Al-Qaeda out of Iraq then we could ever dream of sure his tactics were brutal, but lets face it if we went to war for brutality in government we be in Darfur, China, N Korea and about 30 other countries right now.
Eric, are you actually suggesting that we should have allowed Saddam to continue running Iraq? That's foolish talk.
We won the war and beat him in days. Sure, it would appear that turning the country around is taking the better part of 8 years, but if I recall Germany and Japan took some time too.
We are winning the war to create a nation, a democracy, that's a great thing. If we need to draw down our forces over the next year and do a "surge" in Afganistan, so be it. Let's do it.
As for N. Korea, I will predict that the regime will fall insdie of the next decade. The more contact they have with the outside world the better.
