Northwest Indiana RTA

It's all about economic development. We need jobs, we need to grow, or taxes will strangle the economy. Porter County has been asked to step up and show some leadership in the region ... time to do so. Read the Times article today.

Republican party leaders, Mayor Jon Costas, Councilman Williams, and Porter County's new county councilman Jim Burge have pushed to create an economic engine in Porter County.

If Bob Harper holds it up, he will go down as not only anti-growth, but stupid!

Stay on this issue, the politicians are all making it hard to understand.

I'll break down quickly: We need to increase our county income tax to .5 percent so that we have enough money to pay $3.5 million per year to be part of the Northwest Indiana RTA >>> this gets us a seat at the table for the long-term plan >>> Rail to downtown Valparaiso!!!!!

The Governor is getting tired of waiting for Porter County to step up to the plate.
