We will be in Iraq

... for 100 years? According to Andrew Sullivan, he feels that John McCain was quoted right, and worse that this is a correct assumption.

I fervently disagree. We will begin troop reductions this year, with an eventual full removal in the next five years. We shouldn't rush, but we will be able to pull our troops out in the next few years. We aren't as Sullivan suggests an occupying force forever, but we are very concerned that peace and democracy be given a chance in the Middle East.

And one last note, John McCain didn't say we'd be there 100 years either.
