What is the actual affect of Kosovo Independance?

I'm starting to think this isn't as black and white as I hoped. I first read about Kosovo back three years ago and have watched on and off. It sure seemed like a good idea to me to give them independance.

But this writer seems to suggest that there is something more sinister in this desire for independance. That the Kosovo nation would become a launching pad to further problems amoung all Albanian peoples.

When does this end? When do people realize that they can't keep splitting countries based on tribes. That's what this is right? Tribal, just like Africa.

Democracy requires all kinds of people groups getting along.

"Great Albania" as base for attack on Europe
The ongoing Kosovo status culminations are inescapably related to the quest of
“Great Albania” by Albanian nationalists, Islamic organizations and ambiguous
international interests linked in various occasions with transnational criminal
entities. The real cause of their aim is the influence across the Balkans so as
to format a convenient base for their final target which is Europe.
As Christopher R. Hill noted: "We spent the 1990s worrying about a Greater
Serbia. That's finished. We are going to spend time well into the next century
worrying about a Greater Albania. ”
